As a Houseperson, the organizational support you provide to the Housekeeping team will ensure our guest rooms are well equipped and welcoming, making our guests feel valued. This position is full-time, with start dates from April-May 2020. The pay rate for this position is $18.32, increasing to $20.05 after completion of 3 month probation and $22.88 after 6 months.

Responsibilities
·  Linen and amenity distribution
·  Minor maintenance such as changing light bulbs, etc.
·  General cleaning of both public and staff areas to departmental standards
·  Respond to guests’ requests as directed
·  Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

·  Previous experience as a Houseperson or in a position requiring physical work and a high standard of guest/customer service
·  Completely fluent English language skills; both written and verbal
·  Proven ability to work well unsupervised, at a fast pace while maintaining quality standards
·  Commitment to provide excellent service and exceed guest expectations
·  Fluency in English (verbal & written) essential
·  Competency in verbal English essential
·  Previous experience in Hotel Housekeeping department desirable
·  Previous experience in customer service desirable
·  Previous experience in 5 star property desirable
·  Dynamic, energetic and thrives under pressure
·  Impeccable grooming and presentation
·  Must physically be able to:
·  Lift up to 50 lbs.
·  Carry objects weighting up to 75lbs (including pushing equipment)
·  stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, bend, twist, push, see, and hear
·  Must be comfortable speaking to guests

Note: The position of Houseperson is physically demanding.  The successful applicant must be physically capable of performing repetitive work and standing and walking long periods of time. Lifting requirements up to 50 lbs and carrying of objects weighting up to 75lbs (including pushing equipment). Must be able physically able to stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, bend, twist, push, see, and hear. Must also be comfortable speaking to guests.
