Hotel Sales Manager – Mercure Glasgow

Bring your sales skills to the dynamic team at Mercure Glasgow!

Join the team in Glasgow as the Hotel Sales Manager and help shape the commercial direction and success of this business.

Focusing four days a week in the Glasgow business and one day with the Mercure Edinburgh Hotel, you will engage with the Accor and Jupiter National Sales Teams, work with the Scottish Meetings Hub, Revenue team and General Managers to make sound commercial decisions for revenue generation at your hotels.

The successful candidate will have Sales experience across rooms and meetings segments, be able to create opportunities to drive new business into the base hotels, refer business into the Jupiter group and develop the base of customers loyal to the hotel to increase our market share.

Key focus areas will be business groups, corporate accounts and projects, meetings and events.

You will be an enthusiastic communicator, social seller and relationship builder, you will be able to influence the local corporate and agent community and develop partnerships with local professional bodies.

You will be able to balance your time between proactive sales actions and customer meetings, organised sales administration and the commercial meetings required to be successful in your role.

You will be passionate about sales, achieving results and working as team to achieve overall hotel success.

Hotel Sales experience and local market and competitor knowledge is preferred but not essential, occasional evening and weekend work will be required as part of your dales duties.

Working mostly in the local Glasgow area, you will need to be able to travel nationally to meet clients and agents and attend company meetings as required.
