Job Description

Security professionals develop and deliver solutions that protect enterprise systems, applications and data by establishing policies, practices and tools that prevent unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification or disruption.The Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) is responsible for conducting investigations, responding to network intrusions, and providing electronic discovery services.

In investigations, CIRT is responsible for establishing a chain of custody for evidence, conducting necessary computer forensics, including bit stream backups of suspect media and hard drive analysis. Investigations may include embezzlement, intellectual property theft, harassment, fraud and trafficking of pornography on the Internet or Accenture's intranet, as well as other types of fraud.

For Incident Response, CIRT is responsible for coordinating with the numerous groups which could be involved in responding to intrusions, as well as conducting follow-up investigations to such incidents.

Responsibilities may include:
-Creating forensic images of hard drives
-Cataloging electronic media
-Forensic hard drive duplication
-Data recovery
-Malware analysis
-Perform forensic analysis on electronic media

The internship roles require previous technical and computer operating system aptitude/knowledge. For the most positive internship experience, people with demonstrated academic excellence in the following majors/backgrounds are encouraged to apply:

Basic Qualifications

·  Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant subject area with an expected graduation date between May 2020 – December 2020
·  Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
Preferred Qualifications
·  Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's with an expected graduation date between May 2020 and December 2020
·  Preferred Majors:
·  Computer Science / Computer Engineering or similar Engineering degree

·  High-level knowledge of laws related to computer intrusions and data privacy requirements

Job Requirements
·  Must complete 10-12 week summer analyst program in Chicago office (typically begin in late-May/early-June and end in early/mid-August)
