Job description

Hi, my name is Brian. It's a typical Thursday at Mindtribe. You've already grabbed your breakfast and a cup of coffee. The office is buzzing with activity. I stop by your desk. I'm checking in to see how everything is going, how the integration went, and how the slides are coming along. It's your first time being the Engineering Lead on a project and I'm your mentor. Your enthusiasm for guiding your team through difficult cross-discipline integration and unique technical challenges is a daily reminder of why I love working here.

You're putting the final touches on presentation slides describing your progress and accomplishments for an end-of-sprint check-in with your project team and client this afternoon. Excitement is building as you eagerly wait to demo your first flex PCB. You got them back on Friday afternoon and couldn't wait for Monday morning when you could finally bring them up with your firmware counterpart. It didn't go quite as planned, no steak dinner this time, but after a little time debugging in the EE Lab you've reworked two components, added a jumper wire, and got things working. Integration with the Mechanical Engineer on your team went like a hot knife through butter even though you two have never worked on a project together before. These are the moments when your strong collaboration and communication skills show.

At the Mindtribe daily sync you demo your flex PCB working fully integrated in your team's first form-factor prototype to applause from the whole team.

You can smell lunch waiting for you and the rest of the EE team. It's time for our weekly lunch sync where we update each other on the toughest problems we've encountered over the past week and share what we've learned. We're all excited to hear about the new problem Freddie encountered yesterday. It turns out he's found a crazy way to work around the problem and we brainstorm as a team to see what other approaches we could take. The rest of the day is a blur of last minute finishes to your prototype and slides. You walk into the meeting with confidence because you know you can clearly communicate the nitty gritty technical details of your prototype in a clear concise manner to your client. They are thrilled with the progress you've made and are excited to take the prototype back to their office to show it off and get feedback.

WHERE YOU WILL LIVE: San Francisco, CA
