Job Description:

The Ecosystem Services Data Engineer will be responsible designing, implementing and maintaining the team´s cloud infrastructure, creating data pipelines and defining ETL processes to continuously grow the data mart that the team owns.

• Design, develop, scale, and maintain data pipelines that extract, load, transform, and integrate data from a wide variety of data sources to serve as raw material for insight generation.

• Automate and optimize the data pipelines to improve productivity, processing performance and reliability, and minimize error-prone processes.

• Monitor data consumption patterns and ensure responsible use of provisioned data by the data consumers.

• Collaborate with data stewards and data governance teams to implement the data governance and compliance best practices.

• Support data scientists and data analysts by optimizing data management and delivery processes.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications

• +2 years of Data Engineering, Dba or similar work experience.
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

Technical and Personal Skills

• Experience in extracting, processing, curating, integrating, and analyzing data using Python, Spark, SQL
• Experience with provisioning and architecting with at least one of the 3 leading Cloud as a Service providers (AWS, MS-Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Hands on experience in ELT/ETL and dimensional data modeling
• Proficiency in Python and at least one SQL language such as T-SQL or PL/SQL
• Excellent knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems
