Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge glucose monitoring systems and test strips for use in both home and hospital settings. Our product portfolio includes Freestyle Libre, a recently launched system that is revolutionising how people with diabetes around the world monitor their glucose levels. We are passionate about doing work that improves the quality of people’s lives.

We currently have an opportunity for an Operations Production and Project Planner, joining our Operations Planning team. This role is instrumental in delivering on change projects and integrating these into existing planning processes. In this role you will use your proven experience of planning to manage, coordinate, integrate, and drive ADC Witney Site Operations activities associated with new product introductions, major programs, on-market changes, and the associated production planning. Liaising with cross functional stakeholders, both at site and divisional levels, and optimising resource allocated to achievement of deliverables, you will oversee multiple packages to deliver on projects whilst supporting the attainment of production targets in line with customer requirements and SIOP.

To be successful, you will have experience in operations planning in a regulated manufacturing/production environment, with preference being given to candidates with exposure to new product introduction projects. You will be adept at chairing cross functional meetings, leveraging your stakeholder management skills and influencing abilities. Bringing an analytical mindset, you will also be comfortable working with large data sets, ERP systems, and information from multiple sources.

As a minimum you will be qualified to higher level education (A-Level or equivalent), however preference sits with those who offer Degree level qualification.

You will be comfortable working autonomously, showing initiative and independence, but equally will be able to demonstrate the ability to collaborate with and engage colleagues through tasks and activities. You will be organised by nature, with the ability to prioritise, multi-task, and deliver to timelines. People leadership experience is preferred, but not essential.

As you’d expect from an innovative global healthcare company, we offer an excellent starting salary, and a competitive range of benefits including a defined contribution pension scheme, share ownership scheme, private healthcare, life assurance, and a flexible benefits scheme. Here at Witney, we also like to help our employees live life to the fullest, and therefore we offer a range of optional initiatives for you to get involved in, including onsite allotments, couch to 5k campaigns, bee keeping, yoga and more!
