3. Primary job function
- The Operations Technology Support Engineer is responsible for all support and administrative activities for specific ALOG Breda applications.
- The Operations Technology Support Engineer also has a leading role in the testing and implementation of new functionalities for the ALOG Breda applications and participates in the design of these changes.
4. Core job Responsibilities (major accountabilities)
Application / warehouse equipment Support
- Resolve all issues escalated from 1st line support, where required work with the supplier for this.
- Perform and/or coordinate regular maintenance activities for all ALOG Breda applications.
- Maintain relationship and cooperate with internal and external suppliers to ensure system recovery in case of system or platform issues.
- Own and maintain the knowledge base for OT support.
- Own and execute a regular incident review process with the appropriate stakeholders.
- Manage defects and work with the OT Engineering Lead to resolve all defects for all ALOG Breda applications.
- Own and execute regular meetings with business stakeholders application status, future development and/or performance.
- Ensure all support activities comply with standard Abbott guidelines.
Application Development
- Participate in/responsible for the design of changes to all ALOG Breda applications.
- Provide assessments on supplier quotes for these changes.
- Participate in creating test scripts for all changes to all ALOG Breda applications.
- Own the test process for all changes to all ALOG Breda applications.
- Own the implementation process for all changes to all ALOG Breda applications.
- Provide training to users for all changes to all ALOG Breda applications where necessary.
- Participate in the creation of all required documentation for changes to all ALOG Breda applications.
- Ensure all change activities comply with standard Abbott guidelines.
5. Supervisory/management responsibilities
- This position has no responsibility for a team. On occasion, the Operations Technology Support Engineer will have to coordinate the efforts of external testers and/or contractors.
- The Operations Technology Support Engineer needs to build and maintain external relationships to the vendors of the ALOG Breda applications at the engineering level.
- The Operations Technology Support Engineer needs to build and maintain relationships to internal stakeholders (i.e. planning and support specialist) at peer, middle- and MT management level.
- Serve as backup for multiple positions within organization when deemed required or agreed as part of back up planning, including working in shifts.
- Flexibility to be available in on-call service outside normal office hours (08: 30-17:00), when deemed required.

Reporting to : Operations Technology Engineering Lead

Relationship with : BTS / Contractors / AN BRM

7. Education
- This function requires HBO education and/or experience.
8. technical skills
- This function requires strong analytical skills.
- This function requires an affinity with IT systems as well as with distribution and warehousing.
- This function requires the ability to communicate with diverse roles across and outside the ALOG Breda organization.
- This function requires English language skills.
9. Business knowledge & experience
- Experience with SQL, Informatica, Cognos and data warehousing is preferred.
- Experience with IBM MQ series is preferred.
- Experience with TMS, WMS and Supply Chain systems is preferred.
- Experience with previous IT support and testing roles is preferred.
