Position Overview :

The Informatics Technical Specialist is the primary front line user support for all hardware and software regarding the Abbott Instrument Manager product line.  He/She is also responsible to work with a team to implement systems and to maintain customer satisfaction.  He/She will also be a contact for technical issues surrounding the use and/or implementation of middleware solutions and be the subject matter expert for sales.

Responsibilities :

Daily

·  Provide support and product knowledge to the IST and sales force on IM and general middleware.
·  Participate in providing product information to customers in sales cycles as well as implementation.
·  Assist with, when necessary, the installation/implementation of IM along with rules writing.
·  Contact point for service calls required by customer accounts.
·  Identify training needs/process improvements based on analysis of calls received and pro-actively meet with customers to improve their knowledge/use.
·  Provide guidance for positioning products during the sales cycle and to IST members.

Weekly

·  Keep current on all ADD IM software and hardware requirements.  Share the information with marketing PM.
·  Work with Global program and LAC organization to gain knowledge and provide support when needed.

Monthly

·  Maintain membership in International IT groups (Global Desktop Team, Global Technical Review Board, USADD Security, etc.)
·  Provide highlight to Integrated Specialist Team Manager.

Required Education and Experience:

·  Completed Bachelor's degree required.
·  3 to 5 years of relevant experience
·  Communicate effectively with sales teams and all levels of Management.
·  Excellent organizational skills.
·  Clear, complete and concise documentation skills.
·  Excellent analytical skills.
·  Ability to assess and prioritize situations.
·  Willingness to travel.
·  Autonomous.
