Tasks:
Your main accountabilities will be the followings: You will monitor daily inbound and outbound shipments and process the movements through SAP GTS Customs module for handling by appointed Customs Broker. You will update ABB product HTS/ECCN information via GTS and Amber Road where necessary and comply with Company policies and procedures notably those associated to GDLI-30. You will work closely with colleagues in Supply Chain to ensure the realisation of a seamless supply chain and you will ensure all records are maintained and archived correctly. You will provide reporting as required on day to day activities. You will manage the movement of products in and out of various countries in accordance with organizational policy and procedure, and comply with relevant local, country and international law and process. You will manage the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective and lawful execution of all import/export activities and maintain and share with colleagues as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export law and procedures; tariffs and duties; licences and restrictions. You will communicate with export- and import-related authorities and suppliers, in all relevant territories and countries, as necessary to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activities. You will plan and implement import/export strategy and activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of the company. You will monitor and report on results relating to import/export activities and plan and manage the effective and necessary conversation of weights, sizes, values and quality standards interpretations between importing and exporting systems and territories. You will manage language and communications translation issues and activities as necessary to enable effective relations, distribution and integration of imported/exported products in conjunction with the various supply chain managers/administrators.

Requirements:

We are looking for a person who have an experience in logistics, preferably with a mix of air/sea/truck and ideally a few years' experience within Shipping or Import/Export procedures & documentation. You should have a good understanding and working knowledge of SAP GTS Customs module, SAP and comprehensive understanding of Export Control laws and how to apply Export control classifications and National customs procedures (Eg IPR). You should have a solid understanding of valuation and origin principles and have a strong understanding and application of customs formalities. You should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Powerpoint and an excellent telephone, communication and interpersonal skills. You have the ability to build effective relationships with customers and manufacturers and to work on your own initiative. You are well-organized, flexible and adaptable with good planning & time management and team-player skills.
