3M is seeking 899 Temporary Production Operatorsfor the Manufacturing Facility in Hutchinson, MN. Here, your chance to gain experience in manufacturing

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·  Operate manual and/or automated packaging lines to convert in process materials to intermediate final pack of variety of different tapes, films and other various products.
·  Operate automated assembly machines to pack out products
·  Maintain quality standards
·  Utilize 3M Computer systems to track production and packaging cycles
·  Maintain communication with production coworkers and supervisors regarding production performance
·  Perform production tasks in a safe manner
·  Participate in all required production and safety training
·  Participate in proactive lean manufacturing initiatives

Basic Qualifications:

·  Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher

Preferred qualifications :

·  Experience in a manufacturing plant environment
·  Experience operating a powered fork truck
·  Basic computer knowledge
·  Experience in agriculture/farming and/or mechanics

This position will require working:

·  Rotating shifts
·  Overtime

This position may require working:

·  Extended hours
·  Weekends
·  Holidays as needed
·  Short notice shift coverage

This posting is for a 900 Hour Temporary Production Operator position at 3M Hutchinson. 3M anticipates that multiple openings for this position will occur over time. Qualified applicants may be considered as 900 Hour Temporary Production Operator openings occur at 3M Hutchinson, and 3M will accept applications for up to 6 months from the posting date of this requisition.  Eligible applications will be kept open and active until 7/11/2019.  After that, the posting will be taken down and applicants will need to apply/re-apply for available open postings at that time.

This is a temporary position and hours worked cannot exceed a total of 899 hours within a year.

Qualified applicants will be required to take and pass 3M testing as a part of the selection process.
